Abstract

China’s Road of Green Development analyzes China’s transition toward an environmentally sustainable development model. The book focuses on the concept of green development, describing how China has shifted its development philosophy from rapid industrial growth toward ecological protection and sustainable economic progress. Across several chapters, the authors examine China’s environmental challenges, the evolution of ecological policies, and the integration of green principles into national development strategies. The book highlights the transformation of China’s approach to natural resources—from the earlier belief that humans could dominate nature to the modern principle that “clear waters and green mountains are invaluable assets.” It also presents practical examples of ecological restoration, environmental governance, and green technology initiatives. Overall, the book explains how China is attempting to balance economic development with environmental protection, aiming to build an ecological civilization and contribute to global sustainable development efforts
