Abstract
This edited volume explores the relationship between Black British activism and the global struggle against apartheid, focusing on the influence and legacy of Nelson Mandela. It examines how communities in Britain engaged with, supported, and were inspired by the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa. Through a collection of scholarly contributions, the book highlights themes of solidarity, resistance, identity, and political mobilization across national boundaries. It also reflects on Mandela’s symbolic and practical impact within the Black British experience, offering a transnational perspective on liberation struggles and social justice movements.
