Abstract
This book examines the concept of “whole-process people’s democracy,” a contemporary political model developed within China’s socialist system. It explains how democracy in China is understood as a comprehensive process that integrates elections, consultation, decision-making, management, and supervision across all levels of governance. The work argues that Chinese-style democracy differs from Western liberal models by emphasizing practical outcomes, social stability, and public participation throughout governance rather than focusing solely on electoral procedures. It also situates the concept within China’s modernization strategy and highlights its role in reflecting national conditions, promoting collective welfare, and offering an alternative path for democratic development in non-Western contexts
