Abstract

This volume systematically discusses the component of Xi Jinping Thought that focuses on ecological civilization — a theoretical system integrating ecological values and governance ideas into socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era and guides China’s ecological and environmental strategy. The study covers ecological philosophy, principles, and practical measures for building an ecological civilization under contemporary Chinese governance. 'The Communist Party of China shall lead the people in building a socialist ecological Civilization'-these monumental words were incorporated into the Constitution of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at the 18th CPC National Congress, and then further developed as a concept during the 19th CPC National Congress, unveiling a new era of China's development.
