Abstract
This book examines the relationship between traditional Chinese culture and the ideological and governance practices of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The author explores how key elements of China’s cultural heritage—such as Confucian values, social harmony, and moral governance—have been adapted and integrated into contemporary political thought and policy.
It argues that rather than rejecting tradition, the CPC has selectively inherited and transformed aspects of Chinese civilization to support modern state-building and national development. The book highlights how cultural continuity contributes to political legitimacy, social cohesion, and the development of “socialism with Chinese characteristics.”
Additionally, the work situates this cultural–political synthesis within the broader context of globalization and modernization, suggesting that China’s development path reflects both historical roots and contemporary innovation. Overall, it presents traditional culture as an important foundation for understanding China’s political system and its evolving governance model.
