Abstract

Zhejiang, China: A New Vision for Development is a collection of 232 short essays written by Xi Jinping between 2003 and 2007 during his tenure as Party Secretary of Zhejiang Province. The book presents his early governance philosophy and development strategies at the provincial level. It explores themes such as economic reform, innovation, environmental sustainability, rule of law, cultural development, and social stability. The essays emphasize a people-centered approach, balanced and coordinated growth, and the practical application of policy within local contexts. Collectively, the work reflects the formation of ideas that later contributed to the broader framework of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. is a collection of 232 short essays written by Xi Jinping between 2003 and 2007 during his tenure as Party Secretary of Zhejiang Province.
